Obituary of Janet D. Atkinson

Janet "Johni" D. Atkinson (Davis), 80, died on February 12, 2023. Born in Glassboro, Johni was raised in the Franklin House hotel in Glassboro. She lived in Glassboro most of her life and enjoyed spending summers in Ocean City, NJ. Miss Janet was a Teacher at Children's Corner in Glassboro. She was a member of St. Thomas Church and the Greater Glassboro Group. After retirement, Johni volunteered at Elmer Hospital and Humane Society of Ocean City. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Atkinson, Jr. Survived by her daughters Cheryl (Rory) Marker, Cindy (Robert) Sykes, Channon (Troy) Armstrong. She was known as Bean to her grandchildren Michael Cheeseman, Meghan (John Paul) Skrine, Sarah Marker, Lucas Marker, Robert (Jennifer) Sykes Jr., Gillian (Anthony) Corsey, Daniel (Alexa) Armstrong, great grandchildren Ryan, Killian, Levi, Lincoln, Ezra, Hailey, Anthony Jr. and Beau. Also survived by sisters Lynne (Jere) Milliken, Celia (Ernie) Risner. Friends may greet the family after 10am on Thursday in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ.
