Obituary of Robert Horace Evans

Robert H. Evans, age 81 years, died April 18 at his home in Galloway Twp, NJ, where he had lived for the past year. Born in Camden, he was a graduate of Glassboro High School and had lived in the Swedesboro/Glassboro area most of his life. He had served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-62, and was employed by Rowan University for 25 years in their Police Department, starting out as Glassboro State College Security. He was also employed by Mazzeo's in Glassboro. Robert was an avid golfer and enjoyed cooking, cars and working in his yard. Predeceased by his son, Peter Evans, brother, John Evans, and sister, Judith Carmolingo. Survived by his wife, Mary Ann Rowan, children; Jackie, Kenneth, Lisa, Nathan, and Judith, and several grandchildren. Also survived by his brothers Stanley and William Evans. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 25 from 9:30 to 11:00AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service at 11:00AM. Interment Manahath Cemetery.
