Frank LaSpata, 83, of Williamstown passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Inspira Medical Center, Mullica Hill. Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, he joined the Air Force after graduating high school. In 1963 he became a professional firefighter for the city of Elizabeth where he worked for 36 years, working his way up the command and eventually being promoted to Chief. He retired in 1999.
He was the beloved husband for nearly 55 years of Arleen (Alessi) LaSpata; devoted father of Donna Harrington and her husband Robert of Pittsgrove; Michelle Dillion and her husband Justin Karisa of Goodyear, Arizona; and Gina LaSpata of Omaha, Nebraska. He was a loving grandfather to Jessica and Corrine Harrington and T.J. and Caroline Karisa.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and one sister, and we know he is celebrating with them in the afterlife. Frank loved his horses, boating, golfing, cruising and spending time with his family.
Per his request, a private memorial for the immediate family will be held.
