Francis Chick Finamore, age 82 died on October 6, 2006 at Underwood Memorial Hospital, Woodbury, NJ. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran serving in the South Pacific from 1942-1946. After the WWII, Chick moved to Pitman where he has lived for over 60 years. Shortly after moving to Pitman he started Finamore Moving and Storage which he owned and operated for the past 60 years. He also delivered freight for Home Interiors in Texas for 40 years. Chick drove the Grand Marshall in the Pitman 4th of July Parade for over 35 years. He was a member of the Pitman VFW Memorial Post #6469 and member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Pitman. He was known as the Unofficial Mayor to many in Pitman. He was the husband of the late Charlotte (nee Elliott). Survived by stepsons Thomas (Dorothy) Dallas of Denton, TX, Charles (Debbie) Dallas of Ocean Isle, NC, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Friends may call on Wednesday after 6 pm and Thursday 9:30 10:30 am at the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass will be at 11am in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Pitman Ave., Pitman. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Monroe Twp, NJ.
