Janis S. Snodgrass, 74 , of Pitman went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 21, surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Snodgrass was a graduate of Chatham High School, Chatham, NJ. She attended St. Lawrence University and Colombia Presbyterian School of Nursing. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Good Shepherd where she taught Sunday School, was past President of St. Marthas Guild, co-directoress of Altar Guild, chair of Holly Fair and leader of the Inreach Committee. She was also a volunteer for Serv-a-Tray. Jan will be remembered for her concern and care of the elderly and shut-ins and her Christmas coffee cakes.
Mrs. Snodgrass was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert and son, Tom. She is survived by her children, Robert and Colleen of Ocean City, NJ; James and Cathy of Parlin, NJ; Jeffrey and Beth of Washington Twp.; J. Douglas of Pitman, and Lynne of Minotola, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Steven and Lisa, Todd and Sofia, Metthew and MaryKaye, Nicole, Dan and MaryAnne, Rebecca, Brian, Greg, 9 great grandchildren; a sister Jacqueline Gray of LaQuinta, CA; a brother, William Servies of St. Petersburg, FL; and special friends, Lloyd Hyde of Sewell and Kara Anderson of Washington Twp.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7pm in the Church of the Good Shepherd. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 315 Highland Terrace, Pitman, NJ 08071 and please visit a sick or shut-in person in her memory.
