Obituary of Thomas Henry “Tom” Hadfield

Thomas Henry Hadfield, age 86 died on November 21, 2006. He was born and raised in Philadelphia. After spending his summers as a child in Pitman, he moved to Pitman permanently in 1961. He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving from 1943-1945. He started Silversmithing with his father at the age of 16 and continued in the field for many years as a consultant for Keystone in Chester County, PA. He also owned and operated with his wife TNT Antiques in Pitman. Thomas was a member of the William L. Elkins Lodge 271 F&AM in Philadelphia, Pitman Masonic Club and the LuLu, Aqua, and South Philly String Bands in Philadelphia. He was an avid Civil War Buff and enjoyed coaching Little League and Junior League Baseball. He was the husband of the late Thelma (nee Trautner), survived by children Lois Lynn Hadfield of Mantua, Thomas John (Elaine) of National Park, grandchildren John Robert (Dawn), Marci and Cheri Hadfield, greatgrandchildren Zachary and Taylan Hadfield, and sister Elva Ferguson of PA. Friends may call on Friday after 1 to 3pm at the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Masonic service will be at 3pm. Interment private in Forest Hills Cemetery.
