Obituary of William Barry “Bill” Cummings Sr

William Barry Cummings, Sr., age 65 years, died suddenly on Dec. 6, 2006 in an truck accident in Chicago, IL. He was born and raised in Pitman and a graduate of Pitman High School in 1959. He joined the Navy and served from 1959-1962. He worked for DuPont Co. and sold real estate for Century 21 and independently. For the past 20 years he drove a tractor trailer for many companies. Most recently he drove with Prime Inc. in Springfield, MO. He was a former member of Pitman Fire Co. #1, is an exempt fireman and was an avid Alcyon Race Track Fan. He is survived by his wife Emanuela Pop Cummings of Springfield, MO, children William Brian of Reading, PA; Christopher Robert, Baltimore, MD; William Barry, Jr., Turnersville, NJ; Oana Rebeca Sirbu, Timothy James and Karen Faith Cummings all of Springfield, MO; sisters Karen Kayser of Pitman; Polly Mancuso of Great Falls, VA; Pam Liccardello of Pitman; Priscella Cummings of Cherry Hill; brother Jim Cummings of Franklinville; 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family on Sunday after 6:30pm at the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Memorial service will be at 7:30pm.
