Obituary of Flodetta L. “Flo” Peyser

Flodetta Lorena Peyser (nee Coleman), died in her sleep Dec. 22 surrounded by her loving family. She was a long time Pitman resident and Melrose Diner retiree, (where she waitressed for more than 30 years). She will be fondly remembered for her portrayal of the voice of God and the body of Bathsheba by congregants of St. James Lutheran Church, where she was an active member and pantry volunteer. Beloved wife of the late Robert C.Peyser, beloved friend and sister of the late Belle Ross. Survived by 3 children, Sandra Murphy (nee Schaffer), Kathleen Burger (nee Schaffer), Kenneth B. and his wife and caregiver extraordinaire Jacquie Schaffer, 5 grandchildren John and Kathleen Murphy, Michael Burger, Kenneth R. and Samantha Schaffer, 3 great grandchildren Kevin (KC) Greenwood, Tyler and Jacob Murphy. Friends may call on Wed., Dec. 27 at 10 AM in St. James Lutheran Church, 400 Columbia Ave., Pitman, NJ 08071. Funeral service at 11 AM. Interment Manahath Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Pitman Pantry, in care of St. James Lutheran Church at the above address.
