Smith, Robert B., formerly of Pitman, NJ, died unexpectedly in Florida on January 27, 2007. He had a PhD in Chemistry from Temple Univ. and was retired from Mobil Oil. He was a former Navy officer stationed in Cape May, NJ. His wife, Kristen Adams, celebrates his life and the positive impact he had on her and his family. He was a wise and gentle man; thoughtful, generous and kind. He was first married to Eleanor Buckley, now deceased, and leaves behind six loving children, Sandra, Candace, David, Constance, Cynthia, and Charles, many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. He then married Doris Sweeney (now deceased), and leaves behind his step-children Jo, Kate, and Patricia. Following Doris' death from breast cancer, he married Nancy Rea (now deceased), and leaves behind step-children James, Lisa and Leane. After losing Nancy to colon cancer, he met and married Kristen and they shared a very special and loving life for twelve years. Bob elected surgery for an aortic aneurysm Jan. 11, his recovery was difficult and his heart gave out. His suffering is over, he now has peace and tranquility. He is in heaven and will guide those that he loves from above. Friends may call on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM and 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Friday at the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ.
