Arthur Bud A. Baker, Jr. age 82 died on July 20, 2007 at his home in Pittsgrove where he lived for the past 9 yars. He lived most of his life in Pitman, moved to Garden City, SC for 11 years before moving to Pittsgrove. Bud was a WWII Navy Veteran. He worked for Mobil Oil in Pauslboro as a truck driver for 39 years and retired in 1983. He played the clarinet in the Original Hobo Bank in Pitman, was a 55 year life member of Pitman Fire Patrol, the Pitman VFW post 6469 and the Pitman United Methodist Church. Bud was also a scout master for Pitman Troop #55 and 50 year member of the Odd Fellows French Lodge #89 where he served as Grand Master in 1984. He was the husband of Katherine M. (nee Wilkins) and the late Sarah (nee Woodward), survived by children Judy (Brad) Kelley of Grantham, NH, Sue (Bill) Shivy of Pitman, Jane Baker of Elkton, VA, John (Kathy) Baker of Pittsgrove, sister Jean Simmons of Frisco, NC and grandchildren John Baker, Jr., Melissa and Sarah Shivy, Jesse and Ryan Romano, Thomas Baker and Ryan Kelley. Friends may call on Wednesday after 6pm in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Odd Fellows service will be at 7pm followed by his funeral service. Interment will be on Thursday at 1pm in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
