Russell Clay Bewley, Jr. age 80 died on August 10, 2007 at his home in Pitman where he lived for over 52 years. He was born and raised in Mantua Heights. Russ was a WWII Army veteran serving from 1945-1947. He worked as a carpenter for George Kelly Builders in Pitman, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pitman and the Mantua VFW Post 7679. He was an avid fisherman and boat builder.
Survived by his wife Kathleen June (nee Pluck), son Russell C., III (Paula), sisters RoseMary Amos, RuthAnn Steelman, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Predeceased by son Richard H. Ricky and sister Beatrice Kramer.
Friends may call on Tuesday after 10am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service 11am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
