Obituary of Arthur Harry McCorkle

Arthur H. MacCorkle, 80 years, died Monday November 19, 2007 at his home in Edinburg, NY. Beloved husband of 54 years to Jeanne (nee Inglis), father of Cynthia Geletzke (Gerald), of Hewitt, TX, A. Harry Jr (Christina) of Pitman, NJ, Stephen (Andrea) of Marietta, GA and Mary Ellen Dunn of Alburtis, PA and grandfather of Christiana Hawn (Ryan), Kevin, Drew, Madeline and Ian MacCorkle, Elaine and Kim MacCorkle, Gabriella Geletzke, and Andrew Dunn Jr. Former resident of Pitman for 40 years, he retired from Mobil Oil after 33 years as operating superintendent. A registered Boy Scout for 67 years, he was a former Scoutmaster of Troop 18, Pitman, NJ, Assistant Scoutmaster Troop 1261, Grosse Isle, MI, and currently the Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 55, Northville, NY. Past member, Elder and financial secretary of the First Presbyterian Church, Pitman, NJ. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, Gloucester County NJ and the Thursday work crew at Camp Roosevelt, BSA, Southern NJ council. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Northville, NY, an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army, near his home in Edinburg, NY. Viewing will be held on Friday November 23, 2007 from 4-7PM at Northville Funeral Service, 401 Bridge Street, Northville, NY, 12134. Memorial service 7:30pm at the church.
