Harris Lynford Peacock, Lyn age 86 died on January 6, 2008 at his home in Sewell, NJ. Born July 23, 1921 in Haddonfield, NJ he was a graduate of Haddonfield Memorial High School. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 65. He attended Drexel University and graduated from Rennsaleer Polytechnic Institute with a BEE Degree and graduated Ensign from Midshipman's School at Columbia University, NYC. He served in the US Navy during WWII aboard APA94, USS Baxter Attack Transport in 5 pacific invasions as Engineering Officer. Lyn worked for General Electric Co. for 38 years as an Installations Sales and Service Engineer, becoming Northeast Regional Estimating Engineer before retirement. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and trap shooting. He was past Commodore of Georgetown Yacht Club, Georgetown, MD and was an avid sportsman. He spent his retired winters in Florida and attended the Fist United Methodist Church of Glassboro. Lyn was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survived by his wife of 61 years Marguerite Midge Peacock (nee DeFrates), daughters Janet A. Fuller (David) and Sandra L. Reif (David), grandchildren Stephen Fuller, Kimberly and Allison Reif who were the light of his life. Friends may call on Thursday after 9:30am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service 10:30am. Interment private in Berlin Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the First Untied Methodist Church of Glassboro, 56 N.
