Obituary of Fredric Burton Fitch

Fredric Burton Fitch, age 81, died on June 15, 2016 at his home in Richwood, NJ. Born and raised in Ridgway, PA, Fredric graduated from Ridgway High School in 1952 and Penn State University in 1956. He worked for Mobil Oil Corp. in Paulsboro for over 37 years, retiring as Manager of Automotive Fuels (Motor Gasoline Group) in 1993. Fredric enjoyed pitching in fast pitch softball leagues and was inducted into the South Jersey Softball Hall of Fame in 1997. He also enjoyed playing golf recreationally, walking his dogs and spending time with his family. Fredric was an active member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and served in various senior positions. He also attended Trinity United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Antoinette J. (nee Kohler), children Lynette (Grant) Blair, Frank, Christine (Jeff) Wenner, grandchildren Kevin, Stephen, Rebecca, Alexander, Katherine, Jacob and sisters Priscilla Leahy, Virginia Cochran and Rebecca Askey. Friends may greet the family on Monday, June 20 from 10 to 11am in Trinity United Methodist Church, 284 Cedar Rd, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062. Memorial service will be at 11am with a luncheon to follow in Trinity UMC. Contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr, #300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
