Obituary of Ruthe Marie Johnson

Ruthe Marie Johnson (nee Horner), age 88 died on November 30, 2016 at her home in Pitman. Ruthe served in the US Navy from 1953-1962. She worked as a lunch aide for Walls School for many years. Ruthe was also a foster mom, a cookie mother for Brownie and Girl Scouts, den mother for Cub Scout Troop 218 from 1970-1973. Ruthe also served as treasurer for Our Lady Queen of Peace bowling league, and former President of Pitman Midget Football. She was an avid camper and traveler and loved going to the Smokey Mountains. She was the daughter of the late Linwood and Irene Horner Locke. Predeceased by her husbands Robert Bilsing and Walter Johnson, survived by her children David Bilsing (Cindi McQuade Bilsing), Robyn Bilsing-Yocum (John Yocum), stepdaughter Barbara Watkins (Craig), grandchildren Rachael, DonnaLynn, step grandchildren Taylor, Jonathan and great grandchildren Eric, Tyler, Hayley and Michael. Friends may greet the family on Monday after 6:30pm in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Memorial service will be at 8pm.
