Obituary of Adalagisa Pino

Adalgisa (Alice) Pino, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with The Lord on June 6, 2017. She passed at home in Ferrell, New Jersey at 96 years of age, surrounded by her loving family. Alice was born in Arsita, Italy to Pasquale and Christina (Orsetti) Cavicchia. She came to America with her parents, three sisters and three brothers at the age of 8 years old. Her family settled in South Philadelphia. After high school, she became a master seamstress and worked at her trade all her life, including sewing and altering clothing for family and friends, from patching jeans to making the brides' and bridesmaids' dresses for both of her daughter's weddings (with the help of her sister, Antoinette Mannino). Alice felt this was her calling in life and she was always ready to help those in need of her services. Alice married Matthew Pino on June 7, 1947, and together they raised three children in Ferrell, NJ, where she resided until her passing. Alice always loved attending church and other services. She was a faithful servant of her Lord and would freely share her love of her Lord with everyone. She is survived by her children, Angela (Mark) Stanwood, Christine (Steve) Smith and S. Matthew (Sandy) Pino, grandchildren, Jason (Martha) Stanwood, Eric (Becky) Stanwood, Dan (Danielle) Smith, Jeff (Emily) Smith, Jenna (Brian) Zeiders, David (Desiree) Smith, Starr (Lewis) Parker, and Mandi (Ralph) Brown, and great-grandchildren, Nick, Savannah, Cheyenne, Lewis Parker, Claire, Nolan and Angeli Stanwood, Alexis, Chase and Aaria Zieders, and Shane Smith; sisters-in-law, Judy Pino, Esther Cavicchia, and many nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Matthew (Mike), her brothers, Spicadoro, Julius and Guido Cavicchia; and sisters, Helen Mancuso and Antoinette Mannino, as well as brothers-in-law, Natalie and Salvatore Pino, Raymond Mastracchio, Anthony Sangudolce, Mario Mancuso and Thomas Mannino and sister-in-laws, Rose and Dorothy Cavicchia, Delores Pino, Angelina Sangudolce, Anna Mastracchio , and two niece and three nephews. Funeral services will be held at on June 12, . 2017 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Avenue, Pitman, New Jersey. Her nephew, Dr. Stephen Cavicchia will be officiating the service at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery, Kings Highway, Mickletion, NJ Our family wishes to extend their gratitude to our mother's caretakers who helped fill her last years with love and comfort.
