Obituary of Anthony Joseph Gresko

Anthony Joseph Gresko, age 52 died on August 18, 2013 at his home in Pitman. Tony lived in Pitman over 39 years and was a graduate of Pitman High School in 1979. He was the Vice President of Operations for Emergency Products, Inc. in Thorofare. Tony was a member of the Pitman Fire Co. #1 where he was Chief from 1989-1998 and 2007-2008. He also served as the Chief of the Borough of Pitman 1999-2007. Tony was a member of the NJ State Fireman's Assn and the NJ Exempt Fireman's Assn. He taught at the Gloucester and Salem County Fire Academy and started the Pitman Fire Explorers. He also served on the Pitman 4th of July Parade Committee and the Pitman Ambulance Assn. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Esther R. (nee Senior), children Andrew (Elizabeth), John (Larin), Matthew (Amanda), Alexander and Annastacia, mother Magdalene Gresko, siblings Jack L. (Barbara), Diane (Frank) Haegele, Marianne (Dan) Fish and granddaughter Rita Gresko. Friends may greet the family on Thursday 6-9pm and Friday 9-10am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass will be on Friday at 11am in Mater Ecclesiae Roman Catholic Church, 261 Cross Keys Road, Berlin, NJ 08009.
