Obituary of John Earl Miller

John Earl Miller, age 92 years, died August 31 at his home in Pitman. Born in Riverdale, NJ, he had lived the last 4 years in Pitman. He was raised in Mullica Hill and Paulsboro, and graduated from Paulsboro High School in 1938. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps 73rd Bombing Wing. He was a Radar Mechanic in the Western Pacific. John was employed for 36 years at Texaco as an Instrument Mechanic and attended Olivet Wesleyan Church in Glassboro. He was an avid traveler. Survived by his wife of 15 years Roseanna (nee Hassen), daughters Sharon Lee Zeck (David) and JoAnn Whalen (Ralph), step son Glenn Jenkins (Olivia) and 5 grandchildren. Also survived by his stepdaughters Cherie Stolz, Cheryl Penuel (Steve), Christina Goble (Daniel), and Charlene Podgorski (Paul), 8 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. Friends may call on Thursday after 9:30AM at the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Avenue, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service at 11AM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
