Salvatori Chillari, 81, of Woodlyn, PA, passed away September 30, 2013, at Taylor Hospice, Ridley Park, PA. He was born in Glassboro, NJ, on September 14, 1932 to the late Andra and Josephine (nee Verdi) Chillari and lived a significant portion of his life in Chester, PA. Salvatori was a mason by trade for 20 years. During this time, he was part of the erecting of the Salem Nuclear Plant, something he was immeasurably proud of. Salvatori was the previous proprietor of the Chester Tavern and Restaurant. Salvatori's love for music was demonstrated as a bassist in Jimmy Wicker and The Travellers. Salvatori was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during which he served in the Korean War from 1950-1953. Salvatori had a contagious smile and was well-loved by his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all. Survivors include two sons: Salvatore and Robert Chillari, both of Fort Myers, Florida; a daughter: Linda Wetherbee of Pinkney, Michigan; grandchildren: Kelly Ann Chillari, Rachel Michele Chillari, and Jesse Cade Chillari, all of Fort Myers, Florida; Beatric Garwood of Pinkney, Michigan; Janet Madouse of Whitmore Lake, Michigan; great-grandchildren: Nikole & Michael Garwood o f Pinkney, Michigan, Emily & Ethan Madouse of Whitmore, Michigan; three brothers: John, Pat, both of Glassboro; and Joseph Chillari of Ocala, Florida ; three sisters: Mary Shaw of Pitman, NJ; Antoinette Brown of Franklinville, NJ; and Palmina Mould of Cammal, PA; A goddaughter Lois who adored and loved her godfather and will miss him immensely; and a special nephew: Joseph Shaw and his wife Donna of Monroeville, who cared for Salvatori because he was Joseph's special "Unk.". He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Salvatori was preceded in death by his 2 infant children: son Andra and daughter Rosemary; and his sister Josephine.
