Obituary of Irene Rita Williams

Irene Rita Williams (nee Cieciel), age 87 years, of Toms River, died suddenly December 18. Born and raised in Camden, she attended St. Joseph's High School. She was a resident of Pitman from 1954-2004 and was very active in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church where she volunteered with the Alter and Rosary Society. Irene was a volunteer at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Pitman Preschool and also at the Pitman United Methodist Church Preschool. She lived in Washington Twp. until 2010, before moving to Toms River. She was an avid traveler and a skilled seamstress. She will be remembered for her love of animals and her kind, gentle soul. Predeceased by her husband Herschel "Bud" Williams, siblings; Wanda Kowalski, Henry and Helen Cieciel. Beloved Mother of Carol Cargill (James), Russell Williams (Debbie), Sandra Nicastro (Philip), and Debora Hochenbury (Tom), grandchildren; Laura and Alison Nicastro, Katherine and Andrew Stockhecker, and 5 great grandchildren. Friends may call on Monday from 9 to 10:30AM at the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral Mass at 11AM in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Mary Mother of Mercy Parish, 161 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing.
