Obituary of Betty Schantz

Betty L. Schantz (nee Cook), age 67 died on January 4, 2014. Born in Staten Island, NY she lived in Rahway, NJ, Idestown, PA and Glassboro. She was a graduate of Glassboro High School in 1965. Betty moved to Pitman in 1972 and back to Glassboro in 2000. She formerly worked as an Aide at Underwood Memorial Hospital and the Pitman Manor. She was also a Crossing Guard for the Borough of Pitman. Betty loved to cook and won an award for her Applesauce Cake recipe. She is survived by her husband Kenneth C., daughter Melody Schantz (Steve Harasta), siblings Susan (Paul) Weil, Edward (Valerie) Cook, Richard (Marcie) Cook, David (Karla) Cook and many nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday 7-9pm and Thursday after 10am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11am.
