Obituary of Gladys Rae Davis

Gladys Rae Davis (nee Field), age 99 passed away on February 5, 2014 in the Pitman Manor, where she resided since 2010. She raised her family in Pitman and lived in Washington Twp most of her life. Gladys retired as secretary from JS Stratton, Inc. She was an active member of Calvary Hill Church in Glassboro. She enjoyed Bible study, games, making memory books for loved ones, entertaining friends and family, sewing, and swimming at the YMCA. She was predeceased by her husband William F. Davis, daughter Joan S. Murphy, granddaughter Elaine Murphy, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by her son Robert W. (Dory), son in law Norman L. (Eileen) Murphy, granddaughter Gail (Clark) Pierpont, grandsons Bobby Davis and Brian Murphy, great grandchildren Donald and Rebecca Pierpont, Amaris, Lars and Niles Murphy, brothers in law Dave Davis, Carlton Davis, sisters in law Viola Hickman, Florence Michel, Edith Bruce and many nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday 9:30-10:45am in Calvary Hill Church, 585 Mullica Hill Rd, Glassboro, NJ. Funeral service 11am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
