Obituary of Robert D. Eck

Robert D. Eck, age 64 died on March 21, 2014 at his home in Pitman where he has lived since 1972. After graduating from the State University of New York at Oneonta, Robert taught at Pitman High School from 1972 until his retirement in 2011. After his retirement from the Pitman School System, he continued to work as a consultant for The Educational Testing Services. He also coached boys and girls Cross Country, Winter Track, and Spring Track. Robert was inducted into the NJ State Hall of Fame and the South Jersey Hall of Fame for his coaching accomplishments. He was a member of the NEA, as well as NJEA. Survived by his wife Mary M. (nee Dietz), children Robert Jr. (Manuela), Kathleen Eck, Teresa (Matt) Graham, grandchildren Karlie, Logan, Maxwell, Jessica and Steven, brothers Ralph and Kenneth Eck. Friends may greet the family on Thursday 7-9pm and Friday after 10am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am Friday.
