Obituary of Louis Stephen Lyerly

Louis Stephen Lyerly, age 64, passed away suddenly on June 25, 2023. Lou lived in Pitman all his life. He was a graduate of Pitman High School in 1976. Lou worked for ADM Cocoa in Glassboro and most recently worked at CVS Distribution in Lumberton. Lou was proud to live in Pitman and enjoyed attending all Pitman High School sporting events. He would even attend Pitman High School graduation every year. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and loved vacationing in Wildwood. Lou's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He devoted his life to his daughters and as the family grew, he set the bar for what a Pop-Pop should be. He is survived by his children Amanda Lyerly (Albert Bell), Tiffany Lyerly (Luke Jarmusz), grandchildren Gabrianna, Albert, Sofie, Jackson and the Thompson, Elias and Milward families. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 7th at the Pitman VFW Hall 142 Oakcrest Ave in Pitman, NJ from 5-10PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the PHS Sports Hall of Fame at 164 Pitman Ave. Pitman, NJ 08071.
