Obituary of John Calvin Meyers

John Calvin Meyers, age 61, passed away on August 19, 2023. John was born in Woodbury and grew up in Franklinville, NJ. He was a 1980 graduate of Delsea Regional High School. He was employed as Master Locate Tech for USIC and has worked as an underground utility damage prevention tech for 27 years. He also was a member of Roofer Local 30 Union. John enjoyed riding his dirt bikes when he was young and later his Honda Gold Wing motorcycles. He enjoyed camping, fresh water and salt water fishing, tending to his vegetable and flower gardens and feeding the birds. We can't forget how John loved sharing a cup of coffee with friends. He also loved going to the shore for vacation and regular visits to Cape May Lobster House and grew up with fond memories of staying at the family summer home in the Villas. He will be remembered as the best and most loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. His passion for life, the pure happiness from the little things, his infectious laugh, his beautiful singing voice and friendly smile that was shared with every person he met and how deeply he loved and cared for his children, wife and family is what made John so incredibly special. John was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Harry Meyers, siblings Raymond Meyers and Linda McGaha and grandson Vincent Wright. He is survived by his wife Patricia L Borelli, together 37 years, daughters Andrea (Scott) Wright, Michelle Smuzinsky (Andrew Hammel), grandchildren Matthew Smuzinsky, Katherine and Vanessa Wright, sister June Guy and loving nieces Vickie Antonelli, Dawn Godbey, Bonnie Marshall, Anita Lynch and nephews, Ray, Jason and Frank Meyers, and Michael B.Borelli, brother and sister in law, B. Michael and Valerie Borelli. You may greet the family after 9am on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am.
