Obituary of Daniel A. Oldt, Jr.

Daniel A. Oldt Jr, of Glassboro, age 89, passed away on December 16, 2023. He grew up in the Richwood section of Mullica Hill. He graduated from Glassboro High School in 1952 and Drexel University in 1958 with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Dan worked for South Jersey Gas Co. for 39 years holding various positions, retiring in 1996 as Vice President of Engineering. He was a devoted family man to his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dan loved the outdoors, the wildlife activity and small game hunting with his father and son. He also enjoyed watching sporting events, a big Phillies and Eagles fan. He especially loved watching sporting activities of his grandchildren. After retiring a highlight was a Safari in Africa and later trips to New Zealand, Australia, London and Alaska. He also enjoyed winters in Florida with his wife, family and friends. Dan was an active member of the Richwood United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife Geraldine (Shiles) married over 66 years, children Nancy J. (Joseph) Guinto, Sandra L. Oldt, Daniel J. (Carolyn) Oldt,10 grandchildren Julia (Tony) Lombardo, Sarah (Fran) Dougherty, Rebekah Guinto (fiancé Vince Cortese), Cara (Mike) Macri, Kelsey (Tyler) Ludwigson, Cullan (Andi) Manley, Danny Oldt, Dylan (Hannah) Oldt, Justina (Mark) Onimus, Gianna (Andres) Blotta, 12 great grandchildren, Joey, Frankie, Artie, Edie, Anna, Brin, Kaelin, Teia, Parker, Mark, Owen, Danny. Brother-in-law Newell Miller, And several loving nieces and nephews who were a big part of Dan's life. Predeceased by brother, Raymond, and sister Elizabeth Hedenberg. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 9 to 11am in the Richwood United Methodist Church, 104 Richwood, NJ. 08074.
