Obituary of William M. Ager

Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
William M. Ager, age 92, died on December 14, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Bill lived throughout the greater Philadelphia region, residing in Huntington Valley, PA for close to 40 years before moving to Pitman, NJ five years ago. Bill worked as an engineer for B. Braun Medical in Bethlehem for many years, for Wagner's, PCKelastimerics, Philco, and owned and operated two separate dairy bars over his lengthy and varied career. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lilianne (Tinari) Ager, children Denise (Vince) Pulli, Patti (Michael) Kratz, Mickey Ager (Gene Salvati), David Ager, Jackie (Butch) Schaffer, Stephen (Linda) Barth, Jason (Danielle) Ager, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian (Woods), his parents, John and Florence (Goldhahn), and his siblings, John, Florence (Lawryk), Robert, and Cynthia. Having served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War, and living in Okinawa for 27 months, Bill was never afraid of travel and adventure, but nevertheless preferred the creature comforts of home and family, never far from either one. One could always find Bill in the kitchen, and he will perhaps be remembered by many for his willingness to cook for anyone and everyone. Bill will also be remembered for his quick wit and unique sayings, picked up over a full lifetime of experience and travel. In addition to his family, some of his greatest loves were boating, his Bay House, his canine companions, and his collection of tools. Bill was never afraid to voice his opinion and offer his help. Friends may greet the family Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 9:30-10:30 am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass will be at 11am in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish), Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ.
