Obituary of David Theodore Chew

David Theodore Chew, age 55, East Coventry Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 20, 2023. Raised in Pitman, New Jersey, David graduated from Pitman High School in 1986 and attended Drexel University. Throughout most of his career, he was employed as an enterprise architect, most recently by Bristol Meyers Squibb. In his younger years, David was active with Boy Scout Troop 18 and Explorers Post 118, Pitman, and played soccer for Pitman Soccer Association. Later, he coached youth teams for Coventry Soccer Association. As a cycling enthusiast, he participated in the Bike MS: City to Shore as a Gold Club fundraiser over several years. He was currently a member of the Northern Chester County Sportsman's Club and an active volunteer with East Coventry Parks and Recreation. An avid birder and gardener, David was also an Eagles fan and model train buff.

Preceded in death by parents, Sidney Theodore Chew and Virginia Ann (Cope/Chew) Porch, and brother, Sidney Theodore Chew, Jr., David is survived by his wife, Holly Raser Chew, daughters Sydney Leigh Chew and Emery Ann Chew, sisters Kimberly Chew LaCombe and Cynthia Chew, and nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with the family in the meeting room of the East Coventry Township Building, 855 Ellis Woods Road, Pottstown, Pennsylvania, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Services will begin at noon, with a reception at the Ellis Woods Park Pavilion immediately following.
