Obituary of James Joseph Collins

James J. Collins, age 87, passed away peacefully on February 2nd at his residence in Blackwood, NJ. James was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from High School in 1954 after which he began his career in finance. He worked on Wall Street as a stockbroker before moving to the Philadelphia area to work at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. In 1986 he married the love of his life Constance Crofts in Boston. While living in Boston James ran his own finance company called James Street. Before retiring to Florida in 2010 James ran an Art Gallery in Ogunquit, Maine. James enjoyed travelling and spending time with his family. He also loved art and music. He is survived by his children Deborah Allshouse, Laura Collins, James (Andrea) Collins, Jr and Peter Collins. His grandchildren David, Patrick, Sean, Casey, Nicole, Jamie and Calvin, as well as his Greatgrandchildren Isaiah, Liam, Noah and Isabella. He was predeceased by his parents Eugene Collins and Helen Murphy. He was also predeceased by his sisters Helen Foppiano and Dorothy Votta and his brother Eugene Collins. A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
