Obituary of Mildred M LaMora

Mildred Madeline LaMora (nee Lang), passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024 at her home in Pitman, NJ. She was born in Philadelphia and lived there for 78 years before moving to Pitman to live with her daughter for the last 20 years. She was a loving wife to her husband Robert for 56 years, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mildred graduated from Kensington High School where she was a member of the drama club. She spent many years working as a Keypunch Supervisor at Industrial Valley Bank and a Keypunch Operator for Quaker Lace Company, both in Philadelphia. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, crocheting blankets for all the new babies in the family, family celebrations, reading, word searches, lottery scratch-offs, trips to the Casino with her longtime friend Trudy, bus trips with her sister Marge, lobster or shrimp anything, the Jersey shore, attending the Presbyterian Women's Faith Circle at First Presbyterian Church in Pitman and was a die-hard Phillies fan. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. LaMora, Sr., her parents, Gustave and Matilda Lang (Shawlot), and her siblings Freda, William, Anna, Gustave, Dorthy, Helen, Carol, and Ruth. Mildred is survived by her son, Robert E. LaMora, Jr. (Joanne), her daughter Diane Adams (Jack), her siblings Edward and Margaret, her grandchildren Jennifer (Aaron), Jason (Dyanna), Colleen (Bryan), Julie (Will), John (Amelia), Jeanna (Steven), and Mark (Jacqueline), and her great-grandchildren Alexis, Lily, Gia, Brayden, Jackson, Cara, Kian, Mae, Ryan, Sophia, Bryson, Olivia, Harper, Jake and Emma. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, February 22, 2024 after 6:00pm with a service starting at 7:30pm in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mildred's memory to the First Presbyterian Church, 10 Wildwood Ave., Pitman NJ 08071.
