Please share a memory of Albert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Albert A. Faulkner, age 90 years, died July 17 at his home in Pitman. Born in Chester, PA, he had lived in Pitman for over 31 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII in the European Theater. He was employed by the Fels Planetarium at the Franklin Institute, and later founded Nova Planetarium which produced smaller versions for High Schools and Colleges. Al was the holder of multiple patents and retired from Geometric Data, a subsidiary of SmithKline Beecham, now GSK. His hobbies included watch repair and clock making, golf, and many travel adventures with his wife. Predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Marie M. (nee Marshall). Survived by his sons Keith (Dawn) and Wayne (Jacquie), grandchildren Meredith, Molly, Michaela, Jamie, and Jason (Katie). Friends may call on Tuesday from 10 to 11AM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral service at 11AM. Interment Manahath Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com. Al fought dyslexia all his life and recently discovered a more positive view which described people with dyslexia as visual, multidimensional thinkers who are intuitive, highly creative, and excel at hands-on learning. Many people with dyslexia shine in the arts, creativity, design, computing, and lateral thinking - a perfect description of Al.
