Obituary of Robert Lee Gorman

Robert Lee Gorman, 69 of Washington Twp, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, July 21, 2014. Just 10 days shy of his 70th birthday. He leaves behind his loving wife Carole (nee Peter). They were married more than 51 years after eloping to North Carolina. Devoted father to daughters Paula C. Gorman and Leeann C. Ney (Christopher) and his pride and joy granddaughters Samantha Emonds and Meghan Cash, whom he would brag about to everyone. He also leaves behind a brother Lewis H. (Charlotte). Predeceased by brothers Bill and John and sister SuAnn DiBernardi. He was also the "fun" uncle to many nieces and nephews. For over 40 years Robert was a member of Operating Engineers, Local 825 in which he was honored to be a Business Representative under Larry Cahill and the early days of Pat Campbell. He retired from Federici and Akin Engineering as an Inspector. Friends may greet the family on Saturday after 9:30am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ.
