Obituary of John Robert Duffield

John Robert Duffield, age 92 died on September 3, 2014 in Cardinal Village where he lived since 2005. Robert was a graduate of Glassboro High School in 1940. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II from 1942-1945. Robert owned and operated Duffield Nursery in Sewell for many years. He also worked for CBS in Pitman for over 14 years. Upon retirement, he moved to Homosassa Springs, FL where he lived over 20 years. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survived by his wife of 67 years Katheryn Elaine (nee Steward), daughter Joanne (Hugh) Baxter, Joyce (David) Soler, grandchildren Douglas (Monika) Baxter, Tracy Baxter, Dana (Matt) Kurowski, Richard Locklear, David (Stefanie) Soler and great grandchildren Cole Kurowski, Jason Soler, Lena Baxter, Samantha Soler and sisters Rebecca Skinner, Grace Gates and Dolores Hesketh. He was predeceased by his siblings Arthur Duffield, Mildred Hackett and Dorothy Duffield.
Graveside memorial service will be at 11am on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in Eglington Cemetery, Kings Hwy, Clarksboro, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Caring Hospice, 133 Gaither Dr # Q, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.
