Obituary of George Brooks McCarty

George Brooks McCarty, age 88 died on September 24, 2014 at his home in Washington Twp. George formerly lived in Sewell. He worked for Owens Illinois in Glassboro as a Machinist, retiring after 32 years. Upon retirement he moved to Ocean City, NJ and Naples, FL and has lived in Washington Twp since 2000. George was an avid boater and fisherman. Survived by his wife of 61 years Grace Virginia (nee Kandle) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Edna, Evelyn Kent, Edward, Walter, Grace Robinson and Pat Fish. Friends may greet the family on Monday after 10am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
