Carmelo "Carmen" Presti, age 88 died on December 16, 2014. Born in Trippi, Sicily, Italy, Carmen came to the United States in 1952 at the age of 25. He lived in South Philadelphia. He owned and operated Carmen's Auto Body in South Philadelphia and was an avid fisherman.
Predeceased by his wife Rose (nee Matarazzo). Survived by his children Rosanna Presti-Mascavage (Anthony), Gilda Presti-Klem (Stephen), Louise Presti, Carmen Presti (Rita), grandchildren Rachel Snyder (Jeffrey), Amanda Wescott (Phil), Gabriella Presti, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Friends may greet the family on Friday 9am-10:15am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass will be at 10:30am in Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish (Our Lady Queen of Peace Church), 161 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery.
