Obituary of Marion R. Leopardi

Marion Johnson Leopardi (nee Pemelear), 99, went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2012. Born and raised in Pitman, NJ, Marion graduated from Pitman High School and Camden Commercial College. Throughout her career, Marion held various positions she truly enjoyed including work as a legal secretary, administrative support at Lit Brothers, operator at Western Union and receptionist at the Pitman Manor. An accomplished musician, Marion played the piano and organ for church and was a featured artist at several establishments over the years. She also enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her family. Predeceased by her husband Ralph Leopardi and sisters Elizabeth Crowley Stevens and Frances Blakeslee Govett. She is survived by her son Walter Johnson of Evansville, IN, daughter Susan (Michael) Morrison of Monroe Twp, NJ, grandchildren Renee (Tim) Vander Veer, Lynnette Johnson, Douglas (Anelize) Johnson, Jennifer (Bill) Fyffe, Heather (Ned) Brown, Jonathan Kaysen (Carmella), Melissa Kaysen and 10 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Pitman Manor for kind and loving care. Friends may greet the family on Friday after 10am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ.
