I wish to express my condolences to the family and friends of Mary Jessie Craycroft Levan at this time of her death. We attended gradeschool together at St. Brigid's School, Vine Grove, KY in the late 1940's and early 1950's. We were such a small class that we all knew each other very well and spent a lot of time playing at each other's homes and neighborhoods. Mary Jessie was always lots of fun, very intelligent, and energetic. I am sorry to hear of her death at this relatively young age. I will pray that all of you, her family and friends, receive God's healing and love in your hearts. Special hello to Elizabeth Ann.

The first thing that always pops into my head when I think of Jessie is her Yummy Bars. She would take time off around the holidays to bake and bake and bake. The blood bank staff would circle around the calendar, counting down the days until Jessie would be back in with her homemade confections. Then Jessie would return to work, bearing a tray full of sweets. The Yummy Bars were always the first to go.
Jessie was a dedicated employee. She was so proud of her family and would lovingly share the most recent pictures of her grandchildren with everyone. She will be fondly remembered by many people, and I know that in the next few weeks, as I do my Christmas baking with my children, I will be smiling and thinking of her when we make the Yummy Bars...
