Obituary of Nicholas “Nick” Neilio Jr.

Nicholas Neilio, Jr., Pop, age 79 years died on Saturday,December 9, 2006 at Kennedy Health System, Washington Twp, just 23 days shy of his 80th birthday. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Westville, NJ, Nick and his wife moved to Pitman in 1953. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Merchant Marines. He was employed by Mobil Oil Refinery and retired in 1982. Nick never said no to anyone in his family, neighbors, or friends. He would always be the first to lend a helping hand no matter what the situation. Nick could be found sitting on his porch on Cedar Avenue waving to every car and passerby. Predeceased by his wife Chris M. (nee Elliott). Survived by his sons Nicholas III, (JoAnne) of Glassboro, and Robin (Anne) of Hampstead, NH, daughter Randi of Sewell, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Rita Angeroth of Westville Grove, and brother Herbert Neilio of Westville. Friends may call on Thursday after 6:30 PM at the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be Thursday at 7:30PM. Interment private.
