Obituary of Marion Martha Mitchell

Marion M. Mitchell, age 92 of Pitman, NJ died on February 27, 2013 in the Post House Assisted Living, Glassboro. Born the youngest of five daughters to Martha (nee Kincaid) and Joseph Senor. She graduated from Glassboro High School in 1938 and Glassboro Normal School in 1940. She taught at New Sharon Elementary School in Deptford. Marion was a member since 1950, of the Order of the Eastern Star #57, Pitman, where she was Worthy Matron in 1954-1955 and Worthy District Deputy in 1957-1958. Marion was also Grand Marshall for the Grand Chapter in 1961-1962. For many years, Marion was also a book keeper for Mitchell's Waste Removal in Pitman. She was predeceased by her husband Albert J. and her sisters Elizabeth Dare, Ruth Johnson, Reba Gant and Stella "Honey" Birkbey. She is survived by her son Pat (Cheryl) of Monroeville. Friends may greet the family on Friday, March 8th, from 7-9pm and Saturday, March 9th, from 10-11am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Eastern Star service will be on Friday at 8:30pm. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11am. Interment Bethel Cemetery, Hurffville.
