Obituary of Mildred Hall

Mildred T. "Nickie" Hall age 107 of Pitman, NJ died peacefully on Nov. 27 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 30, 1904 in Glens Falls, NY to the late Garner and Lila Tripp. She was a graduate of Glens Falls High School and Cornell University. She has lived in Pitman since 1937. Beloved wife of the late William C. Hall, Sr. and survived by her devoted daughter Janet H. Simmerman and son-in-law Steven J. Simmerman. Predeceased by son William C. Hall, Jr. and daughter Virginia H. Anthony. Nick loved her 8 special grandchildren: Laura S. Coyle (Ken), Steven Simmerman Jr. (Pam), Lorna S. Charnock (Jason), Andrew Hall (Mindy), Brooke H. Yordy (Greg), Graham Hall (Michelle), Amy A. Griswold (Steve) and David Anthony (Kristin). She was also blessed with 16 precious great grandchildren. Nick was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was strong minded, sensitive and full of laughter. She worked her magic with love, smiles, quick wit, sense of humor and her friendship to everyone. Her positive attitude was amazing. Her words of wisdom are: to enjoy life, love and cherish family and friends, and always have fun! Nick was a longtime member of A.J. Chapter of PEO, Pitman Methodist Church, Julia Circle and Sinawik. A smart bridge and gin rummy player, she loved a good card game and belonged to many bridge groups. Pitman Manor was her home the last 14 years. She enjoyed her time there and appreciated all the love and special care she received from all the staff. The called her their "Queen." Arrangements will be private with immediate family only.
