Obituary of Nancy Marie Wescott

Nancy M. Wescott (nee Strack), age 79, died on March 4, 2012 at Elmer Hospital. She was a resident of Mater Dei Nursing Home in Newfield. She lived most of her life in Deptford, and spent her retirement years in Woodbine. Nancy was a 1950 graduate of Gloucester City H.S. and then went to the Helene Fuld School of Nursing in Camden, graduating class of 1953. She spent 37 years working as a RN for the West Jersey Health Care System. She enjoyed the many trips taken with the nursing alumni group. Nancy loved arts and crafts, activities at the shore, especially the concerts on the boardwalk. Nancy spent 10 years as a den mother with the Cub Scouts in Deptford. She was very talkative and had an out going personality that gained her many friends over the years. She loved being a Christian, was involved in many activities and teaching at Calvary Bible Church in Deptford and later Calvary Baptist Church of Oceanview. She loved her family, and her passion was to see her children raised in the church. Nancy was married 52 years to the late John T. Wescott, Sr. She leaves 3 sons, John Jr. and Michael of Deptford, and Steven (Cynthia) of Mantua. Also survived by her grandchildren Mark (Brittany) of Ontario and Orey of Mantua. Also her brother Carl Strack and a special sister Agnes Musick. She was preceded in death by one son, David Wescott. Friends may greet the family on Thursday after 9-10:45am in Hardingville Bible Church, 284 Whig Lane Rd, Hardingville, NJ. Funeral service 11am. Interment Eglington Cemetery.
