John Peter Fazzio, Sr., age 81 years, died May 18 at his home in Mullica Hill, NJ. Born in Glassboro, he graduated from Glassboro High School in 1949. Originally a farmer, he owned and operated the Bellmawr Landfill. He founded the South Jersey Landfill Owners Assn., and served on the Camden Co. Solid Waste Advisory Council. He was an honorary "Chief" of the Bellmawr Police Department and an honorary member of the Bellmawr Fire Department. He was an avid gardener and fisherman. Predeceased by his daughter Donna Marie Fazzio. A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marjorie D. (nee Stiriz), sons; John P. Jr. and David, daughter Linda Frank, 11 grandchildren; Ralph, Melissa, Daniel, Thomas, and Deanna Frank, John P. III, Justin, Jason, David Jr., Adam and Christopher Fazzio, 6 great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Frank Fazzio Sr., sisters; Angie Rapchick, Millie Fichera, and Mary Mancuso, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ and from 9:30 to 10:30AM on Wednesday. Funeral mass at 11AM in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Pitman, NJ. Interment Eglington Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Lighthouse Hospice, 1040 N.
