Eugene William Thies, Jr., age 67 died on May 28, 2012. He lived all his life in the Chapel Heights area of Washington Twp. Eugene owned and operated Hillcrest Farm and Nursery since 1960. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and the NJ Landscape Association. In addition to his love of farming, Eugene enjoyed boating, cruising on the Chesapeake and to Rock Hall, MD.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Frances (nee Schwebel) and children Eugene W. III, David and Andrew.
Friends may greet the family on Saturday after 9am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be at 11am. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assn, 1060 N. Kings Hwy, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Memories may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.
