William R. Bennett, born November 26, 1956 in Abington, PA died on June 15, 2012. Preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Gager Bennett. He is survived by his stepdaughter Karen (Chris) Stanwood and granddaughter Nora. Also survived by his mother Dolores Bennett (Joseph, deceased), sister Joanne (Lou), nieces Kim (Troy) and Tina (Greg), and nephew Lou (Amanda). After graduating from Olney High School, he enlisted in the Army, serving in the 3rd Infantry Division as a helicopter crew chief. He worked as a track inspector for Septa Rail for nearly25 years. He and Madeline were Civil War re-enactors, and Bill loved to watch the Flyers and Nascar. He had been a resident of Pitman, NJ for the past 8 years. Friends may greet the family on Thursday 7-9pm and Friday after 10am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ Funeral Service will be Friday at 11am. Interment Manahath Cemetery.
