Obituary of June Dolores Gruber

June Delores Gruber (nee O'Neal), known to many as "Wheezy" departed from us on July 11, 2012 at age 85. She was born and raised in Charleston, WV, but spent her last 42 years of life in Pitman, NJ. Throughout her lifetime, June held various positions which included illustrator for the Yellow pages. Her last position of employment for 16 years was as a Teacher's Aide for the Gloucester County Special Services, retiring in 1996. In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker, June had a passion for art and music. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pitman where she was a Soprano in the Choir. Survived by her husband of 59 years George H., children Stephen C. (Charlotte), Mark E. (Penny), David B. "Buzz" (Julie), Amy L. Stratton, grandchildren Hannah, Aaron, Tim, Matt, William, Robert, Kristen, Courtney, great grandchildren Christian, Kaleb, Elleora, Kennady and 21 grandpets. Friends may greet the family on Saturday July 21st after 10:30am in the First Presbyterian Church located on 10 Wildwood Ave, in Pitman, NJ. A memorial celebration of June's life will be at 12:00pm followed by food and fellowship in the church social hall.
