Obituary of Donald K. Mosher

Donald Kent Mosher of Glassboro, NJ., age 86, died October 6 at Cadbury Retirement Community in Cherry Hill, NJ. Born December 31, 1928 in North Judson, IN, Don grew up working in the family-owned general store. After graduating from Purdue University in 1950 with a BS in Electrical Engineering, he served in the US Navy aboard Aircraft Carrier, Bon Homme Richard where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade during the Korean War from 1950 – 1952. Upon returning home, he married Vivian Jean Fisher in 1954. They remained happily married for the next 60 years. Don was employed for 32 years by Mobil Oil Corporation; nine years in East Chicago, IN and 23 years at Mobil Research in Paulsboro, NJ where he worked until his retirement in 1985. Don's first priority was always his family. He enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, golfing, and family vacations, which were always very special. He was also an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Pitman, NJ where he served as Elder for several years. Don was preceded in death by his wife Vivian and sister Patty. He is survived by his sons, Thomas of Casselberry, FL, Timothy of Apopka, FL, and Mark and his wife Carol of Pilesgrove, NJ who have two daughters, Lori and Emily. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday October 14 after 9:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Pitman, 305 S. Broadway Pitman, NJ 08071. Funeral service will be at 11am.
