Obituary of Verna D. Riedel

Verna D. Riedel (nee Ball), age 93 went to be with her Lord and Saviour on February 18, 2021. Verna was born and raised in Philadelphia. A devoted Wife and Mother Verna lived in Abington Pa. for 47 years where she was an active member of Bethel Chapel in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. In 2005, Verna and her husband Walter moved to Woolwich, NJ where she met many new friends and was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church in Swedesboro, NJ. Verna and Walt enjoyed a second home in Ocean City NJ where they loved the beach and a good quoit game. Verna and Walt had the opportunity to take many trips and cruises and she often said she had "no regrets" It was a wonderful life. She was predeceased in 2007 by her husband of 59 years, Walter W. Riedel. Survived by her daughters Nancy (Bill) Thistle, Lore (Rich) Gess, grandchildren Alison (Rich), Sean, Erin (Tony), Laura (Ben), Kyle, Shannon (Tom), Adam (Stef), great grandchildren Connor, Jackson, Colten and Beckett, niece Glenna Bingham and dear next door neighbors from Woolwich, Pat and Ken. Verna also made many new friends at Brightview Woodbury Lake where she lived for the past 3 years. Verna's family wishes to thank the Brightview Staff and Bayada Hospice for their kindness and support. We look forward to Celebrating Verna's life with family and friends later in the Spring.
