Nicholas Puglia, Sr., age 86, in the presence of his family, passed away peacefully on July 27th at his home in Pittsgrove where he lived since 1986. Born in Glassboro, NJ he was the second of eight children to the late Joseph and Rose Puglia. Nick was a 1952 graduate of Glassboro High School and worked several years pumping gas, and later as a mechanic for McGee's Mobile station until he was drafted to serve in the US Army in 1959. Nick served in the 7th Infantry Regiment for two years, spending much of that time stationed in Germany. After returning home to Glassboro in 1961, Nick married Luegina "Jean" Bellebuono, his wife of 55 years, whom predeceased him in 2016, moved to Pitman, NJ, and began a career that spanned over 30 years as a pipe fitter machinist with Dupont Industries in Carneys Point, NJ before retiring in 1997. After retiring in 1997, Nick and Jean spent many years enjoying their vacation home in the Eagle Lake Community Association located in Gouldsboro, PA (Poconos). He remained busy as a master craftsman and automotive mechanic while home, and volunteered for various youth and other activities during his more than 35 years enjoying Eagle Lake. Nick is survived by his two sons, Nick Jr. (Patty), and James P. (Tina), two grandchildren, Rocco and Jackie Puglia, as well as siblings Jennie Kortonick, Russell Puglia (Joan) and Philip Puglia (Tracy), and brother-in-law, Frank Bellebuono (Diane).
