Obituary of Frances C. Maloney

Frances C. Maloney (nee Torrey), age 88, passed away on August 30, 2021. Frances was born and raised in Philadelphia and was a proud graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School class of 1953. She was a devoted homemaker and lifelong Phillies fan, whose fandom would put the Phanatic to shame. Frances was known to certain family as "Petey", some as Fran, and others as "Saint Frances" for her saint-like demeanor, which was trademarked with her slogan of "Grin and Bear It." She greeted everyone with genuine warmth and a smile. She was predeceased by her husband James J. and is survived by her children Michael J. (Kathryn), Brian J. (Gina), and James P. She is a beloved Mom Mom to 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Friends may greet the family from 9am – 10:45am on Tuesday, September 7 in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass will be at 11am in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish), Pitman Ave, Pitman. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
