Obituary of Ryan Michael McCleery

Please share a memory of Ryan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ryan Michael McCleery, age 39, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2023 at his home in Pitman. Ryan lived in Pitman all his life. He graduated from Pitman High School in 2001, received his bachelor's degree in 2005 and MBA in 2012 from Rowan University. He worked as a Project Control Manager with Noblis MSD in Philadelphia and was a member of Glassboro United Methodist Church. Ryan was a loving husband to his wife Shawn and adored his three children Avery, Adalynn, and Maddux. Shawn and Ryan loved taking trips together, watching comedy shows, mojitos, big holiday gatherings with family, and going to Phillies and Eagles games. He loved watching his children grow, and enjoyed all of the boops, hugs, snuggles, and love they gave him. He was incredibly proud of them, and he will always be looking down on them fondly. Ryan was a sports fanatic, loving the Atlanta Braves, Chicago Blackhawks and especially the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. Ryan's appreciation of professional sports and the athleticism of players showed through his abundant knowledge of various statistics and game records. He enjoyed attending sporting events, and played in a competitive wiffleball league with friends for many years. He loved yard games, hanging with friends and family by the pool, attending concerts, and collecting baseball cards with his brothers. Ryan was an avid reader, with great appreciation for education and professional growth. Professionally, Ryan led by expertise as well as example, embracing challenge and driving success through his positive attitude, leadership and deep connection with others. Ryan's willingness to share his knowledge, and the genuine dedication he had to his role, colleagues, and customers impacted and inspired many. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Linda Viola. Survived by his wife Shawn (Gross), children Avery, Adalynn and Maddux, parents Sheryl L. (Viola) and Harry L. McCleery, brothers Dante (Amanda) McCleery, Brent (Gabrielle) McCleery, maternal grandfather Armond Viola, paternal grandparents Charles McCleery, Veronica (Bob) Flanagan, nieces and nephews Adrianna, Dante Jr., Penelope, Vivienne, Duke and his beloved dog Gretzky.
